day 86

Psalm 55:1-8 Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy, at the stares of the wicket; for they bring down suffering upon me and revile me in thier anger. My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death asail me. Fear and trembling have beset me; horrow has overwhelmed. I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest--I would flee far away and stay in the desert; I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm."
Jeremiah 8:18 O my Comforter in sorrow, my heart is faint within me.
Psalm 140:6-7 O Lord, I say to you, "You are my God." Hear, O Lord, my cry for mercy. O Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle.

These three passages go really well together: we are scared, suffering, wishing to flee from trouble and go to a safe place. God is our safe place; he comforts us when we're not having the be
st time and he puts up his shield to protect us from harm's way. Have a great day! Prayer requests?
