day 79

Matthew 10:17-20 "Be on your guard against men; they will hand you over to the local counsils and flog you in their synagogues. On my accoung you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to then and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Imprisoned and persecuted Christians came up to my mind when reading these verses. The quote "be kind, for everone you meet it fighting a harder battle" also came to my mind. Things don't always run so smoothly in life. Being a Christian makes things difficult too. In the USA we have it so good. There are many complaints about all of the bad things that go on. What about Christian brothers and sisters in non-Christian countries? They have it far worse. Jail, beatings, limitations on social abilities, even death. Religiously it is much safer over here. We need to remember our brothers and sisters in prayer. Yes, they are blessed because they're persecuted because of Christ. But they need our support in praying for them.
