2Corinthians 1:21-22
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He annointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Matt. 25:26-27
"His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest."
The master is upset because his servant did nothing with what he was given. God put his own Spirit inside us and there is an expectation of growth to take place in us. It is quite unacceptable to keep doing what you did before you got saved and act like it's okay. Own up to your wrongdoings and ask God for help to fix it.
